W AS, the Board of Supervisors of the County of Santa
Clara has recognized the urgenoy of undertakl g pertain improvements
to San ?ranoisquito Creek from its youth on San Francisco Bay to
the Newell Road. Bridge as outlined by its engineers, and the lining
of those portions of Matadoro Creek which lie within the corporate
limits of the City of Palo Alto; and
WEIRMAS, the Board of Supervisors has authorized and
expedited these needed improvements which, when completed, will
proteot the lives and property of the people of Palo Alto;
NOW, THERNFORB, be it resolved by the City Council of the
City of Palo Alto that the Board of Supervisors of the County of
Santa Clara be oommended for their action in this matter.
The above and foregoing resolution was duly and regularly
introducert and passed at a regular meeting of the Council of the
City of Palo Alto held on Monday, the 14th day of April, 195$„
by the following vote on roll mills
Byxbee, Corcoran, Cresap, Giffin, Marshail, tl.toholl,
AYES: Nevis, Porter, Rodgers, Ruppenthal, Stephens, Woodward.
NOBS: None.
ABSENT: Bishop, Davis, Evans.
