RESOLUTION NO. 2951
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE PUBLIC INTEREST AND
NECESSITY OF SAID CITY REQUIRE, FOR. PUBLIC USE FOR
PUBLIC STREET AND GRADE SEPARATION PURPOSES, CERTAIN
LAND LOCATED IN THE CITY OF PALO ALTO, COUNTY OF SANTA
CLARA, STATE OF CALIFORNIA (PARCELS 10 and 10-A -
PROJECT 57-5)
The Ceun+ell of the Citj of .Palo Alto does resolve as follows:
Secti9J le That the Council of the City of Palo Alto has
fauna and determined, and hereby does find, determine and declare,
that the public interest and necessity require the acquisition,
construction and completion of the following public improvement,
to wit: a public street and grade separation.
Section 2. That a right of wee in fee over the parcels of pro-
perty described in Exhibit"A" attached hereto i:1 the City of Palo
Alto, County of Santa C.&ra, State of California, is necessary for
such improvement.
Sectioreel, That the public interest and necessity require the
taking of immediate possession in connection with the eminent domain.
proceedings.
Section 4. That said proposed acquisitions and improvements are
planned and located in a maene.r which will be most compatible w.tb
the greatest public good and the least private injury, and all of
such acquisitions are located wi thie the territorial limits of the
City of Palo Alto'.

Section ? The City Mu'ragrer is further authorized to expe:,d
from funds heretofore and hereafter appropriated for Project 57
such monies as are necessary and in his opinion may eohstitute
the fair market value of said parcels based upon appraisal o1
duly qualified and competent real estate appraisers.
Section 8. The City Clerk shall certify to tnc adoption: of
tilts resolution by a vote of two-thirds of all of the members of
the Cite Council.

Council of the City of Palo Alto is fifteen (15) and that the
foregoing resolution was adopted by a vote of more than two-t:_rds
of all of the members of said Council at its meeti::6 held (.1:, the

Bishop, Byxbee, Corcoran, Cresap, Davis, Evans, Giffin,
AYES: Marshall, Mitchell, Mavis, Porter, Rodgers, Ruppsnthal,
Stephens, Woodward.

westerly, along said Southeasterly line 25.15 -feet to the point of
beginning, being a portion of said Lot 2.
