HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESO 2817RESOLUTION NO. 4817 RESOLUTION Or TEX COUNCIL OP' TNE CITY OP PALO ALTO ionsopeS reaurriON NO. 2789 WHENEA3, on October 22, 1956, the Council of the City of Palo Alto adopted Resolution- No. 2789 entitled °Resolution of the Coun- cil of the City of Palo Alto ndi ng sad Determining that the Public Interest and Necessity of *aid City requires for Public Use for Sani- tary Sewer Purposes, Certain Land located in the County of Santa Clara, State of California (Veterans Administration Sewer)"; and WHEREAS, said, Counoll 4 ii.res toamend said resolution; NOW, TBgNBYORN, the Council of the City of Palo Alto does solve as follows Section 3.. That Section 2 of said Resolution No. 2789 be the same hereby is amended to read as follows: Section 2. That an easement and right of way for the purpose of acquiring, constructing, completing, reconstructing, repairing, maintaining and operating sanitary sewers and appurtenances, together with the right of ingress and egress for the maintenance and oper- ation thereof, is necessary over the following described property in the County of Santa Clara, State of Califor- nia: re - and • Pace). 1 (Bagj,ch) BEGINNING at a point on the Easterly line of the right of way of the Lots Altos Branch of the Southern Pacific Railroad (Poningelar Railroad Company) distant thereon North low 57' West 74 feet from .the point of intersection of sad line with the Southwesterly 11no of the land con- veyed by Edward Barron Estate ,Company, to J. E. Reiter, B. L. Driscoll and R. F. Driscoll, by Deed dated December 8, 1919, and recorded in Book 496 of Deeds, page 432, records of Santa Clara County, California; =ICI on and ,along said Easterly right of way line, to the Patnsular Railroad: Company, Iortb 1` 5TH, West 158.58 feet; THENCE leaving said lime and parallel with the Northwesterly boundary line of the land eonveyed to J. County Oa] jfor- nia; THENCE leaving said Easterly line Norte 33 05' East 852.56 feet to the Southwesterly line of Laguna Avenue (40 feet wide); THENCE along said Southwest- erly line North 56' 55' West 10.00 feet; THENCE leaving Laguna Avenue South 33' 05' West 844.76 feet to a point on said Easterly line of the Southern Pacific Railroad right of ray; THENCE along said Easterly line South 18' 57' East 12.69 feet to the point of beginning. 3 (AVE) A strip of land 6 feet in width and measured at right angles three feet on either side of the fol- lowing described centerline: Parallel to and 3 feet Southwesterly of the South- westerly line of the parcel of land conveyed by Carl Bryn et ux to Alice Boulware et al, recorded ,February 11, 1948 in Book 1457 of Official Records at, page 272 of Records of Santa Clara County, ex- tending Southeasterly from the lands of. Leland Stan- ford Junior University to the Northwesterly line of Cbi'malud Drive (50 feet wide). together with a sroondary easement 20 feet wide on either side of each of said easements for the operation of men and machinery and the piling of dirt during the period of constructing said sanitary sewers and appurtenances. Section 2.
