RISOLUTION$O. , 2816 ABSOLUTION OP INTENTION TO ABANDON A ETC TA num 12, $TAi�r4'S VILLA TRACT 'NASAS, the City of Palo Alto has acquired a public utilities easement in Lots 34 and 35, Block 12, Stanford University Villa Tract in the City of Palo Alto, County of Santa Claire, `State of Cali- fornia, which easement is recorded in Book 2136 of Official Aeoords, of Santa Clara County, page 334; and WHEREAS, said easement is no longer necessary for the purpose for which it was acquired and dedicated; NOW, TBNASPORI, be it resolved by the Couuoil of the City of Palo Alto: Deotion 1. That it is the intention of the Council to close and abandon the easement bereinbefore described. Syotion 2. That any costs in connection with the vacation of this easement shall be paid by the San Jose Abstract A Title Co., 70 North Second Street, San Jose 13, California. Section 3. That notice is hereby given that Monday, the 25th day of March, 1957, at the hour of 7:30 p.m., at the Council Cham- bers of the City Council of said City, in the City Hall, Palo Alto, California, be and the same is hereby set as the day, hour and place where and when any and all persons having any objections to the pro- posed abandonment may appear before said Council and show cause why said easement should not be abandoned. Ieaoion 4. That the Palo Alto Tines, a daily newspaper of gen- eral circulation published and oiroulated in the City of Palo Alto, is hereby designated as the newspaper in which the City of Palo Alto shall cause to be published, in the manner and form required by law, a copy of this resolution of intention by causing the sane to ba published in said newspaper for at least two successive weeks prior to the date of the hearing of;objeotions to the proposed aban- donment. Section 5. That the City Engineer of the said City of Palo Alto shall cause to be conspicuously posted along the line of the easement proposed to be vacated notioes of the passage of this reso- lution of intention. Said notices shall be posted not more than 300 feet apart but at least three notices shall be posted. The above and foregoing resolution was duly and regularly intro- duced and passed at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of Palo Alto on Monday, the , ,5t L. day of Pebru;ty _, 1957, by the following vote: Byxbee, Corcoran, Creaap, Cummings, Davis, Drysdale, Giffin, AYES: Marshall, Mitchell, Navia, Porter, Rodgers, Simpson. NOES: None, ABSENT: Bishop, Ruppenthal. APPROVED: ATTEST: APPROVED AS TO FORK:
