1. The Council hereby rejects all of said proposals or
bids except. that hereinafter mentioned, and hereby awards the
contract for doing said 'work and making said improvements to the
lowest responsible bidder, to wit:

at the prices named in two bid.
2. That the Mayor raid Clerk of said City of Palo Alto be,
and they are hereby, authorised to make and enter into a written
contract with said aueesaeful bidder and to receive and approve
all bonds to connection therewith.
