RESOLUTION CANCELLING TAXES ON PROPERTY
ACQUIRED BY TUs CITY OF PALO ALTO
FOR PUBLIC USE
WHEREAS, the City of Palo Alto has acquired for public pur-
poses certain property described in the following grant deed in
the files of the City Clerk from the following sellers and bear-
ing the assessment number indicated:

WHEREAS, City taxes for the year 1956-57 have been assessed
against said parcel of property; and
WHEREAS, said tax assessment should be cancelled under the
provisions of Section 4986 of the Revenue and Taxation Code of the
State. of California; and
WHEREAS, the City Attorney bas consented to such cancellation;
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Council of the City of
Palo Alto that pursuant to the provisions of said Section 4986 of
the " venue and Taxation Code, the City Controller and the City
Assessor are ordered and directed to cancel said tax assessment and
all penalties and charges attaching thereto and to make the proper
entries :o effect such cancellation.
The above and foregoing resolution was duly and regularly
introduood and passed at a regular meeting of the Council of the
City of Palo Alto on Monday, the R$ r day of January , 1957,
by the following vote:
Bishop, Byxbee, Corcoran, Cresap, Cummings, Davis, Drysdale,
AYES: Giffin, Marshall, Mitchell, Nevis, Rodgers.
NOBS: None.
