RESOLUTION NO. 4383
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
EXPRESSING APPRECIATION -TO OPAL H. BOWEN UPON HER
RETIREINT -
WHEREAS, OPAL H. BOWEN retired on October 18, 1970 as a
Librarian II at the Children's Library after twenty-three years
of continuous service with the City of Palo Alto; and
WHEREAS, durin., ner career with the City OPAL H. BOWEN
has earned the respect and friendship of her co-workers and a
large number of residents; and
WHEREAS, the City Council is proud of her work performance
and appreciative of her efforts and dedication toward municipal
service.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the
City of Palo Alto hereby gratefully records its appreciatibn
as well as the appreciation of the citi:.ens of this community
for faithful service rendered to the City and extends to
OPAL H. BOWEN its sincere good wishes for a long and happy
retirement.
