P.ESOLUTTON or THE rouN(TT. OF THE. CITY OF PALO ALTO
DECLARING WEEDS TO BE A NUISANCE AND SETTING A HEARING
The Council of the City of Palo Alto does RESOLVE as fol-
WHEREAS, certain weeds are growing in the City of Palo
Alto upon various streets, alleys; sidewalks and upon private
property within said municipality, which said weeds bear seeds
of a wingy or down nature, or which may attain such large growth
as to become, when dry, a fire menace,
noxious and dangero»s; and
WHEREAS, said weeds constit:.t_ a public nuisance;
NOW, THEREFORE, it is hereby resolved that said weeds do
now constitute and will continue to constitute a public nuisance
and it is ordered that the said public nuisance be abated in
the manner provided by Chapter 8.08 of the Palo Alto Municipal
Code and that said nuisance exists upon all of the streets,
alleys, sidewalks and private property within said city, as'
shown, descz?ibed and delineated on the several maps of the
properties in said city which are recorded in the Office of the
County Recorder cf the County of Santa Clara, reference in each
instance for the description of any particular street,_alley
or private property being hereby made to the several maps
aforesaid, and, in the event of there being several subdivision
maps on which the same lets are shown, reference is hereby
made to the latest subdivision map,
AND IT IS ORDERED, that Monday, the 28th day of September,
1970; at the hour of 7:30 p,mG of said day, at the Council
Chamhers of the City Hall of said city, be and the same is
fixed as the time and place when objections to the proposed

The Superintendent of Public Works is hereby ordered and
directed to cause notie'of said hearing to be given in the
time, manner and form proviced in Chapter 3.08 of said Palo
Alto Municipal Code,
The above and foregoing resolution was duly and regularly
introduced and passed at a regular meeting of the Council of the
City of Palo Alto on Tuesday, the 14th day of September
1970 by the following vote:
AYES: Arnold, Beahrs, Berwald, Clark, Gallagher, Spaeth, Wheatley
NOES: None
ABSENT:
Comstock, Dias, Norton, Pearson
