HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESO 4369• RESOLUTION NO. 4368 %RIGINAL RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO AMENDING SCHEDULES S-1, S-1-0, S-2, S-2-0 AND S-3 OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO UTILITIES RATES AND CHARGES The Council of the City of Palo Alto does RESOLVE as fol- lows: SECTION 1. Pursuant to 512.20.010 of the Palo Alto Municipal Code, Schedules S-1 and S-1-0 (Domestic Sewage Collection and Disposal) of the Palo Alto Utilities Rates and Charges are hereby amended to read as set forth in Sheets 121c and 122c, respectively, attached hereto and by reference made a part hereof. SECTION 2. Pursuant to 512.20.010 of the Palo Alto Municipal Code, Schedules S-2 and S-2-0 (Commercial Sewage Collection and Disposal) of the Palo Alto Utilities Rates and Charges are hereby amended to read as set forth in Sheets 123c and 124b, respectively, attached hereto and by reference made a part hereof. SECTION 3. Pursuant to 512.20.010 of the Palo Alto Municipal Code, Schedule S-3 (Special Industrial Waste Charges) is hereby added to the Palo Alto Utilities Rates and Charges to read as set forth in Sheet 124.11 attached hereto and by reference made a part hereof. SECTION 4.The foregoing changes shall become effective at the commencement of the August 1970 billing cycle. TERRITORY: Within the incorporated limits of the City of Palo Alto and on land owned or leased by the City. RATES: Per Month Each domestic dwelling unit $1.50 Temporary Surcharge* _ .15 Total - $1.65 SPECIAL NOTES: An occupied domestic dwelling is designated as any house, cottage, flat, duplex unit, or apartment unit having kitchen, bath, and sleeping facilities and to which utilities services are being rendered. Any dwelling unit not being individually served by gas or electric meter will be considered as continuously occupied. For any dwelling unit being served by more than one sewer connec- tion, the monthly charge will be applied to each connection. *This temporary surcharge is to offset the expense of chlorinating the existing Water Quality Control Plant effluent, and will terminate on the date of acceptance of the Regional Water Quality Control Plant. LAWSON UPON HIS RETIREMENT WHEREAS, CLARENCE C. LAWSON retired on August 10, 1970 as a Shop Supervisor in the Building and Equipment Maintenance Department after more than twenty-five years of continuous service with the City of Palo Alto; and WHEREAS, during his career with the City CLARENCE C. LAWSON has earned the respect and friendship of his co-workers and a large number of residents; and WHEREAS, the City Council is proud of his work performance and appreciative of his efforts and dedication toward municipal service. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Palo Alto hereby gratefully records its appreciation as well as the appreciation of the citizens of this community for faith- ful service rendered to the City and extends to CLARENCE C. LAWSON its sincere good wishes for a longand happy retirement.
