RESOLUTION NO. 4366 RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO CONFIRMING CANVASS BY RE(ISTRAR OF VOTERS OF SANTA CLARA COUNTY OF SPECIAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION WHEREAS, the Registrar of Voters of Santa Clara County has duly canvassed the votes cast in the City of Palo Alto (hereinafter called the "City") at the special municipal election consolidated with the State of California Primary Election held on June 2, 1970 in the City by the electors of the City upon the propositions hereinafter set forth and has certified to this Council the result of the votes cast at said election upon said propositions, which said certification is now on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Palo Alto as follows: 1. Said canvass by said Registrar of Voters as shown by said certification and the result of said election is hereby ratified, confirmed and approved. 2. At said election the following proposition calling for temporary discontinuance of the use of certain lands as a public park was submitted to the electors of the City and the number of votes cast in the City for and against said proposition was as follows: Total Total Vote Vote "YES" "NO" PROPOSITION K Shall an area of approximately .551 acres, a part of El Camino Park in the City of Palo Alto, be discontinued for park purposes through October 13, 1976 under authority of Article VIII of the Charter of the City of Palo Alto, in order that the Palo Alto Chapter of the American National Red Cross can complete the term of its lease of said site, said area to be restored automatically as park dedicated land from and after October 14, 1976? 15,087 3,239 - .-Al 3, Tla total number of votes cast in the City at said special municipal election concerning Proposition "X" and the total number of votes given in each precinct and by absentee voters in the City for and against said proposition was and is set forth in said canvass by said Registrar of Voters. 4. More than one-half of all of the votes cast in said special municipal election on Proposition "K" were in favor thereof and said proposition passed. 5. At said election the following proposition calling for approval of an ordinance passed by the Council of the City of Palo Alta changing the zoning of certain property was sub- mitted to the electors of the City and the number of votes cast in the City for and against said -proposition was as follows: Total Total Vote Vote "YES" "NO" PROPOSITION L Shall Ordinance No. 2515 of the Council of the City of Palo Alto, changing the zoning of the property bounded by Channing, Waverley, Addison and Bryant streets from R-2 and R-4 to P -C for development as a hospital, be approved? 9,228 10,190 6. The total number of votes cast in the City at said special municipal election on Proposition "L" and the total number of votes given in each precinct and by absentee voters of the City for and against said proposition was and is set forth -in said canvass by said Registrar of Voters. 7. More than one-half of all of the votes cast in said municipal election on said Proposition "L" were against approval 2 • • and said proposition failed.
