RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
COMMENDING MAYOR EDWARD S. ARNOLD, COUNCILMAN FRANCES
K. DIAS, CITY MANAGER GEORGE E. MORGAN AND STAFF FOR
THEIR EFFORTS IN THE DEDICATION OF THE CIVIC CENTER
WHEREAS, Palo Alto's new Civic Center was formally dedicated
on April 18, 1970; and
WHEREAS, Mayor Edward S. Arnold, Councilman Frances K. Dias
and City Manager George E. Morgan, operating as a Mayor's Com-
mittee, planned and organized said formal dedication ceremonies;
and
WHEREAS, said dedication was a memorable community occasion,
handled with dignity, good taste and good humor.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Palo Alto as follows:
SECTION 1. The Mayor's Committee and the City staff are
hereby commended for their outstanding efforts in making the
Civic Center Dedication an unqualified success.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk is directed to transmit a copy
of this resolution to each member of the Mayor's Committee.
