RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
ORDERING THE VACATION OF CERTAIN PUBLIC EASEMENTS
IN TRACT 892, FAIRMEADOW
WHEREAS, certain public easements known and described as
"planting reserve"were dedicated or acquired by the City of Palo
Alto upon approval of Tract No. 892, Fairmeadow, as shown on a
map recorded in Book 34 of Maps, Pages 6, 7 and 8 in the official
records of the County of Santa Clara; and
WHEREAS, a portion of said public easements has been main-
tained in planting by the City of Palo Alto and another portion
thereof has not been used for public purposes for five consecutive
years next preceding the date of this resolution; and
WHEREAS, it is desirable that said unused property be released
from the public interest for "planting reserve" therein.
NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto does
RESOLVE as follows:
SECTION 1. All property shown as "planting reserve" on the
Subdivision Map of Tract 892, Fairmeadow, recorded July 16, 1951
in Book 34 of Maps at Pages 6, 7 and 8, of the official records
of the County of Santa Clara, save and except the portions shown
as Parcel No. 1 and Parcel No. 2 on EXHIBIT A attached hereto
and incorporated herein by reference, has not been used for
planting reserve purposes for a period of five consecutive years.
SECTION 2. Pursuant to the provisions of 550443 of the
Government Code of the State of California, it is ordered that
said public easements as described above be, and the same are,
vacated save and except those portions shown on EXHIBIT A
attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference as Parcel
No. 1 and Parcel No. 2, and save and except any portion of said
property burdened with easements for the following purposes:

SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall cause a certified copy of
this resolution to be recorded in the official records of Santa
Clara County at the office of the County Recorder.
