RESOLUTION NO. 4311
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
APPROVING FUTURE COMMON BOUNDARY BETWEEN THE CITY
OF PALO ALTO AND THE CITY OF CUPERTINO
WHEREAS, the Santa Clara County Local Agency Formation
Commission favors the establishment of future common boundaries
between the cities within its jurisdiction so as to foster an
orderly annexation policy and to enable cities to proceed with
necessary planning for the affected unincorporated territory;
and
WHEREAS, in accordance with said policy, the City of Palo
Alto and the City of Cupertino desire to establish their future
common boundary;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the
City of Palo Alto does hereby agree that the future common
boundary between the City of Palo Alto and the City of Cupertino
shall be that portion of the existing City of Palo Alto boundary
shown on EXHIBIT A attached hereto and as more particularly des-
cribed as follows:
BEGINNING at the point of intersection of the
dividing line between San.Mateo County and
Santa Clara County with the dividing line of
Sections 25 and 26, Township 7 South, Range 3
West, M.D.B. and M.; thence Northerly along
the dividing line of said Sections 25 and 26 to
the point of intersection thereof with the Half
Section line running East and West through the
center of Section 25; thence Easterly along
said Half Section line of Section 25 to the
Southeasterly corner of the North Half of said
Section 25; thence Northerly along the Easterly
line of said Section 25 and of Sections 24 and
13, Township 7 South, Range 3 West, M.D.B. and
M. to the Northeasterly corner of said Section
13.
BE IT FURTP.ER RESOLVED that upon passage of a similar
resolution by the Council of the City of Cupertino, the City

Clerk shall transmit a certified copy of this resolution to the
Santa Clara County Local Agency Formation Commission for consider-
ation and approval.
