RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
EXPRESSING APPRECIATION TO CARL T. NEWMAN UPON HIS
RETIREMENT

WHEREAS, CARL T. NEWMAN will retire on August 1, 1969, as
a public works leadman, Department of Public Works, after nearly
nine years of service with the City of Palo Alto; and
WHEREAS, CARL T. NEWMAN has, through his contact with the
public and assistance in the supervision of the operation of
the refuse disposal area contributed significantly to this phase
of service for the City of Palo Alto.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the
City of Palo Alto hereby gratefully records its appreciation as
well as the appreciation of the citizens of this community for
faithful services rendered to the City and extends to CARL T.
NEWMAN its sincere good wishes for a long and happy retirement.
