RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
FAVORING THE ESTABLISHMENT OF AN INCREASE IN THE
MINIMUM FINE AND BAIL FOR OVERTIME AND OVERNIGHT
PARKING
WHEREAS, there has been a substantial increase in overtime
and overnight parking violations; and
WHEREAS, the Council believes that the number of such
violations would be materially reduced by an increase in the
minimum bail and fine for such violations.
NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto does
RESOLVE as follows:
SECTION 1. That the Council favors an increase in the
minimum bail and fine for violations of Chapter 10.44 of the
Palo Alto Municipal Code.
SECTION 2. That the City Clerk be directed to forward a
copy of this resolution to the Presiding Judge of the Municipal
Court for the Palo Alto -Mountain View Judicial District.
