RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
EXPRESSING APPRECIATION TO JOHN SHADDLE UPON HIS
RETIREMENT
WHEREAS, JOHN SHADDLE has served the City of Palo Alto
continuously since June 2, 1947 as an electrical building
inspector in the Building Inspection Division of the Public Works
Department; and
WHEREAS, JOHN SHADDLE has been of great help to Palo Alto
homeowners who sought him out for professional advice; has gained
the respect and admiration of contractors and businessmen as well
as citizens in successfully carrying out his responsibilities of
ordinance enforcement and public relations; and has also earned
genuine affection from his fellow employees for his fine sense
of humor and warm friendship.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the
City of Palo Alto hereby gratefully records its appreciation as
well as the deep appreciation of the citizens of this community
for the long and faithful service of JOHN SHADDLE to the City
of Palo Alto and extends to himits-sincere-good wishes for a
long and happy retirement.
