RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
APPROVING AND ADOPTING A RECORDS RETENTION SCHEDULE
WHEREAS, Sections 34090 and 34090.5 of the Government Code
of the State of California provide for the retention and
destruction of city records, documents, instruments, books and
papers; and
WHEREAS, an appropriate records retention schedule has
been compiled, and further identified as "City of Palo Alto
Records Retention Schedule" a copy of which is on file in the
Office of the City Clerk; and
WHEREAS, said schedule has been examined and approved by
the City Attorney.
NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto does
RESOLVE as follows:
SECTION 1. That "The City of Palo Alto Records Retention
Schedule" is hereby approved and adopted.
SECTION 2. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby
authorized and empowered to administer and supervise the
retention and destruction of said records in accordance with
said schedule approved hereunder.
