The City Manager advised that the bid of the Tidewater Associated Oil Company was low in the amount of: -$28.60, butt this company did not comply with the spec fieatitns i,nthat it took exception to the favored nation's :clause".. - Mr.. Visiting = Nurse Service The Mayor reported that he has received a letter from Mrs. Edward Liston, Chairman of the Auxiliary of the Palo Alto Hospital, who is dissatisfied with the method of handling the visiting nurse program, and that he has informed her that he has referred -the matter to Committee No. 5 and that she would be invited to meet with the committee. Bus benches . The question of installing benches at certain bus stops or. University Avenue was brought up, and the Council was informed that' the City. Manager and the City Engineer will make a report on thia matter at the next meeting.
