RESOLUTION NO. 4207
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
ACKNOWLEDGING THE CONTRIBUTIONS AND SERVICES OF
LESTER H. COLE WHILE SERVING AS A PALO ALTO POLICE
RESERVE OFFICER
WHEREAS, it was with profound sorrow that the City Council
learned of the untimely passing of LESTER H. COLE, a member of
the Palo Alto Police Reserve on January 31, 1969; and
WHEREAS, LESTER H. COLE conscientiously served our
community and was always available for service when called; and
WHEREAS, while serving as a Palo Alto Police Reserve
officer, he performed more than 3,000 hours of volunteer work
with dedication and efficiency; and
WHEREAS, his passing will be sorely felt by members of
his family, by his many friends and all others who knew him.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Palo Alto that we do hereby express our sorrow at
the passing of LESTER H. COLE and acknowledging his contributions
to the community, extend to his widow and three children our
most sincere condolences and our appreciation for sharing his
time and energies with those he served and helped.
