RESOLUTION NO. 4519
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
COMMENDING THE OUTSTANDING PUBLIC SERVICE OF
COUNCILMAN FRANCES K. DIAS
WHEREAS, FRANCES K. DIAS served the City of Palo Alto as
Councilman from 1961 to 1971, as Vice Mayor from 1968 to 1969
and as Mayor of Palo Alto from 1966 to 1968, guiding the Council
through its many duties: and
WHEREAS, FRANCES K. DIAS has given unselfishly of her time
and talents during one of the most important periods in the
history of the City; and
WHEREAS, through the efforts and contributions of FRANCES
K. DIAS, the City continued to occupy a position of eminence in
tarms of the quality of service provided to its citizens: and
WHEREAS, the City of Palo Alto desires to recognize the
meritorious service of FRANCES K. DIAS;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City
of Palo Alto hereby commends the outstanding public service of
FRANCES K. DIAS a~d records its appreciation as well ;~s the
appreciation of the citizens of this community for the service
and contribution rendered during her term on the Council.
