RESOLUTION NO. 4517
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
EXPRESSING APPRECIATION TO DEWEY R. JACQUES UPON
HIS RETIREMENT
WHEREAS, Dewey R. Jacques retired on October 15, 1971 after
almost twenty-three years of service with the City of Palo Alto1
and
WHEREAS, Dewey R. Jacques while serving as Fire Marshall was
· a participant in the development of many innovative programs and
improvements in fire prevention and investigation1 and
WHEREAS, Dewey R. Jacques has made a significant contribution
toward the long-term safety and well being of people who live and
work in Palo Alto: and
WHEREAS, the City Council is proud of his performance and
dedication toward municipal service.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it RESOLVED that the Council of the City
of Palo Alto gratefully records its appreciation as well as the
appreciation of the citizens o~ Palo Alto for faithful services
rendered to the City and extends to Dewey R. Jacques its sincere
best wishes for a quick recovery and rewarding retirement.
