RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY-OF PALO ALTO
BXPRESSING APPRECIATION TO THE MUNl=IPALITY OF PALO,
LEYTE, REPUaLIC OF THE PHILIPPINES, FOR THE KINDNESS
EXTENDED TO MR. A. WILLIAM BLOOM 0!' TUB CITY OF
PALO ALTO
WHEREAS, the Municipality of Palo, Leyte, ~public of the
Philippines, and the City of Palo Alto, California, United State•
of America, have united· in bonds of mutual friendship· and-exchange
aa Sister-Cities through· the Town Affiliation·Aaaociation· and have
achieved international agreement and understandinq1 and
WHEREAS, over a period of nine_ years· the· Municipal··council
and the people of Palo have· afforded themselves of every ope>ortunity
to·expreaa their warmth, love, and hospitality to·Palo Alto and
viaitors to-·Palo frcm Palo Alto; and
WHBREAS, on numerous· occasions Palo has stren9thened·the qonda
of C\lltural exch1m9e1 and
WHBRBAS, on the occasion of the recent viait of ·Mr. A. ·William
Bloom to Palo, ita Municipal council and its citizena expre••ed
in innumerable waya deep·-bospitality-·and affection for ·itll Sister
City'-• rapr•••ntative by·extendin9 to·hiJD·a11·courtesiea and
warmth; and
·WHBREAS, the City of Palo Alto and its City Council· Cherimhea
and recognises the increued ·depth of under•t~in9··and appreciation
of our cultures through our Siater··city affiliations and activiti•••
NOW, THBRBFORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto cloea
RESOLVE .. follow•:
SECTION· 1. That Palo Alto expresses its heartfelt and qreat
appreciation to the Municipality of Palo, J•yte, Republic of the
Philippines, and it• ln08t honorable Muriicipal council for their
great kindne•• extended to Mr. A. William Bloom and for their
active support of th• Siater City Proqram.

reaolution to be sent to the Municipal Council of Palo, in care
of Mr. Antonio M. Ogayan, Municipal Mayor.
