RESOLUTION NO. 4471
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
ORDERING THE VACATION OF A PORTION OF AN EASEMENT
FOR OUTFALL SEWER PURPOSES
WHEREAS, an easement in the City of Pale -Alto, Cou1u .. j of
Santa Clara, State of California~ fourteen feet wide, was acquired

for outfall sGWer purposes dated-~ecember 4, 1909, and recorded on
December 23, 1909, in Book 352 Page 466 of Deeds of Santa Clara
County, California1 and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Palo Alto does hereby
find that a portion of the aforesaid easement which crosses the
property described in Exhibit "A" and shown on Exhibit "B" attached
hereto and by reference made a part hereof has not been used for
the purposes for which it was dedicated or acquired for five
consecutive years next preceding the date of this resolution1 and
WHEREAS, from all the evidence submitted to the Council of
the City of Palo Alto, it is found that the portion of said easement
as described above is_ unnecessary for present or prospective outfall
sewer purposes.
NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of_ the City of Palo Alto does
RESOLVr as follows:
SECTION l. Pursuant to the provisions of Section 50443 of
the Government Code of the State of California, the Council ~f
the City of Palo Alto does hereby order that the portion of said
outfall s~wer easement as described above be, and the same is,
vacated. : · •.
SECTION 2. The Council of the City of Palo Alto hereby
reserves and retains any and all other easements and/or any right
or rights, license or licenses, in, over, under, across and alonq
said property which may exist.

All that certain real property situate in the City of Palo Alto, County of
Santa Clara, State oI Cali!ornia, described as follows:
Portion of Lots 150 and 151, as shown upon that certain map entitled,
"Map of C. M. Wooster Company's Subdivision of the Clarke Ranch11 ,
which map was filed for rt...:ord in the office of the Recorder of the
County of Santa Clara, State of California, on November 11, 1912 in
Book 0 of Maps, .at Page 16, and more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at a point in the center line of Colora.do Avenue, formerly
Stanford Avenue, distant thereon North 54° 30 1 00 11 East 350. 03 feet
from the point of intersection thereof with the center line of Marian
Road; thence from said point of beginning North 51° 59 1 37 11 West
31. Z86 feet to the true point of beginning; thence from said true point
of beginning and along the northwesterly line of Colorado Avenue, as
described in the parcels of land in the deeds to the City of Palo Alto,
recorded August 9, 1960 in Book 4881 Page 307, and recorded April
12. 1960 in Book 4761 Page 129, North 54° 30' East 340. 84 feet to a
point in the southwesterly line of the parcel of land df'!scribed in the
deed to Lee Denton, recordP.d May 19, 1948 in Book 1618 Official
Records, Page l; thence leaving said northwesterly line of Colorado
Avenue and running North sz• 00' 23" West _along said southwesterly

corner thereof in the southeasterly line of that certain parcel of land
conveyed to the City of Palo Alto, by deeds recorded in Book 1332
