HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESO 4469.. r# .... • lows: • • ORIG~NAt RESOLUTION NO. 4469 RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO AMENDING RESOLUTION 2971 TO PROVIDE FOR SATURDAY PARKING WITHOUT TIME LIMITATION OR PARKING METER CHARGES FOR THE AREA BOUNDED BY ALMA, ADDISON, BYRON AND HAWTHORNE FOR A CERTAIN PERIOD The Council of the City of Palo Alto does RESOLVE as fol- SECTION 1. Commencing July 1, 1971, or when appropriat~ signs are in place, whichever is sooner, and expirinq January 1, 1972, parking all day on Saturdays without time limitation or payment of parking meter charges_ shall be permitted in those certain parking-meter zones and time-limited parking zones located on streets, in city-cwned or city-leased parking lot•, and in the Civic-Center garage within the area bounded by Alma Street, Addison Avenue, Byron Stre~t and Hawthorne Avenue~ provided, however that loadinq zones, pase:~nger loading zones, and places where stopping, standing, or parking is prohibite4 within said area shali not be included within this temporary suspension of time~limits.and parking meter charqes on Satur4ays. SECTION 2. sections 6 and 7 of Resolution ~971 (Regulating Parking and the use of certain Streets) be and are amended a~d the Park.inq Zones Map .of the City of P•lo Alto revised to ref leet this resolution. SECTION 3. The City Manaqer is hereby authorized and directed to make changes to all 4ppropriate si9ning:to reflect this resolution. SECTION 4.
