RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
EXPRESSING APPRECIATION TO BERNICE o. STERLING
UPON HER RETIREMENT
WHRE.~S, Bernice o. Sterling retired on April 2, 1971 after
more than twenty years of service with the City; and
WHEREAS, Bernice O. Sterlinq, While serving as a Librarian
and Supervising Librarian was a participant in the development
of many innovative program.q and improvements in the City library
system.7 and
WHERFAS, the City Council is proud of her performance and
dedication towards municipal service.
NOW, TijEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the
City. of Palo Alto gratefu~ly records its appreciation as well as
the appreciation of the citizens of Palo Alto for faithful ser-
vice rendered to the City and extends to Bernice Oo Sterling its
sincere best wishes for a long and rewardi~g retirement.
