RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER, ON BEHALF OF ~HE CITY
OF PALO ALTO, TO ACCEPT ALL DEEDS AND GRANTS CONVEY-
ING ANY INTEREST IN OR EASEMENT UPON REAL ESTATE TO
THE CITY OF PALO ALT<> AND TO CONSENT TO THEIR DEDICATION
WHEi<EAS, Section 27281, as amended Stats. 1959, of the
Government Code of the State of California provides t.~:.lt deeds
or grants conveying any interest in or easement upon real estate
to a political corporation for public pui-poses shall not be
accepted for recordation without the consent of the grantee
evidenced by its certificate or resolution of acceptance
attached to or printed on the deed or grant; and
Wl!BREAS, said section further provides thet a political
corporation or governmental agency, by a general resolution,
iil.ay authorize an officer or agent to accept and consent to such
deeds or grants1
NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto does
RESOLVE as follows:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager or, in his absence or
disability, tbe Assistant City Manager be and he hereby is
authorized and directed to accept, for and in behalf of the City
of Palo Alto all deeds or grants conveying any interest in or
easement upon real estate to the C~ty~of Palo Alto and to
consent.to their reeordation.
SBCTION.2 •. That the City Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of this resolution and that a copy thereof be recorded

SECTION 3. That Resolution Mo. 2941, adopted December 23,
