RESOLUTION NO. 4422
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
DECLARING THE RESULTS OF THE SPECIAL REFERENDUM
ELECTION HELD ON JANUARY 26, 1971 IN THE CITY OF
PALO ALTO
WHEREAS, on the 9th day of November, 1970, the Council of
the City of Palo Alto, County of Santa Clara, State of California,
by Resolution No. 4390 duly passed and published did call a special
election to be held in said city on the 26th day of January, 1971,
for the purpose. of suJ . .mi tti~::r to the qualified voters of said
city the following measure, to wit:

PROPOSITION NO. 1
Shall the Bryant Street Project, as defined in Reso··
lution No. 4390 calling the election at which this
proposition is submitted, ~nd Ordinance No. 2589
changing the zoning therefor, both adopted Novem-
ber 9, 1970, be approved, and shall the proposed
agreement for t.~e accomplishment of ~he Bryant
Street Project, as identified in said Resolution No.
4390 calling said election, be executed by the City
of Palo Alto? ·

WHEREAS, due ana legal notice of said special election was
given as required by law,'Uld by said resolution; and
WHEREAS, on the 26th day of January, 1971, at the hour of.

requlerly opened for said special election in said city and said

they were so opened until 8:00 o'clock in the afternoon of said

WHEREAS, said special election waa regularly ano duly can-
vassed by said City Council on February 1, 1971, at its reqular
meeting held on said date.
NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto does
RESOLvE·as follows:
'SECTION 1. That a special election was duly and regularly
called and held in all things according to Resolution No. 4390
or said City of Palo Alto duly adopted for the objects and pur-
poses therein specified and according to the laws of the State of
Califc.rnia.
· SEC!'ION 2. That the number of votes cast in each precinct
and the total number of votes cast in the city for and against said
measure, including votes cast on absentee ballots, was as follows:
