RESOLliTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF Pi\LO ALTO
EXPRESSING APPRECIATION FOR THE LONG A.~D FAITHFUL
SERVICE OF JESS A. NICHOLS
WHEREAS, JSSS A. NICHOLS, Public Works Supervisor· with
the City of Palo Alto, died on January 2, 1971, after more than
t~enty-five years of continuous service with the City; and
WHEREAS,· JES~ Ao NICHOLS, while serving as a supervisor and
foreman in the Public Works Deµartnent, was a participant in the
implementation of many innovative programs an~ i~provements; and
WHEREAS, the City Council ic proud of his work performance
and appreciative of his efforts and dedicatiQn toward municipal
service.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the.Council of the City
of Palo Alto hereby gratefully records its aop~eciation as well
as the appreciatio~ of the citizens of this corn.":lunity for the long
and falthful service renaered to the City by JESS· A. NICHOLS until
his .untimely death and .exter.d to his family its deep sympathy for
·their· loss. The Cit:!!:• Clerk is directe~ to convey a-copy of this
