RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALT<'>
AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTIN('; THE CITY !,ANl\~EP TO
EXECUTE AN EASF.MF.NT TO TH~ PALO ALTO UN'IFIF.O SC!?ML
DISTRICT OF SANTA CLARA COUNTY FOR NALKW.1\Y AND SEP-
VICE ROAD PURPOSES (HOOVBR PARK EXPANSION, PROJ. 64-8)
The Council of the City of Palo Alto does RESOLVE ~s follows:
SECTION l. The document attached hereto and incorporated
herein by reference whereby the CITY OF PALO ALTO grants to the
PALO ALTO UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT OF SANTA CLARA comrry an easement
for walkway and service road purposes over certain city-owned
property known as Hoover Park (Parcel 4), be and the same hereby
is approved, provided that said grant of easement shall be con-
tingent upon relinquishment by t~e Palo Alto Unified School District
of its interests in Parcels 1, ~ and 3 of said property, said
parcels being shown on the drawing attached h 1_, l:'eto and incorpora-
ted herein by reference.
SECTION 2. Thoe City Manager is here~ ·Y authorized and dir-
ected to execute said easement for and on behalf of the City
subject to the condition set forth in section l above.

GRANT OF F.ASEMF.NT
FOR VALUABLE CONSIDERATION, the CITY OF PALO ALTO, a
municipal corporation under the laws of the State of California,
hereby grants to the PALO ALTO UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT OF
SANTA CLARA COUNTY, an ease1~nt and rl.ght of way for walkway
and service road p~rposes ~ver, across, and upon the real property
in the City of Palo Alto, County of Santa Clara, State of California,
shown on the map attached hereto and described as follows:
Parcel 4:
BEGI~"NING at the most northerly corner of Lot 59, c. M.
Wooster Company's Subdivision of the Clarke Ranch, a map
of which was recorded November 11, 1912, in Book 11 0 11 of
Maps at page 16, Records of Santa Clara County, California;
thence s. 52°00' E. al~ng the northeasterly line of said
Lot 59 25.00 feet; thence s. 38°00' w. 252.23 ft::et to a
point on the northeasterly line of Cowper Street (60 feet
wide); thence N. 52°00' w. along said northeasterly line
of Co~r ~treet 25.00 feet to the point of intersection
of said northeasterly line of Cowper Street with the
northwesterly line of said Lot 59; thence N. 38°00 1 E.
along said northwesterly line of Lot 59 252.23 feet to the
point of beginning, being a portion of said Lot 59 of said
subdivision.
