:RESOLUTION NO. 4 6 4 8
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
ORDERING THE VACATION OF AN EASEMENT BETWEEN GAP.LANO
DRIVE AND JORDAN JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Palo Alto did on the 14th day
of August, 1972, pass its Resolution of Intention to vacate an easement
subject to certain reservations for a public utilities easement, as
described and shown in EXHIBITS A and B attached hereto and on file with
the original of said Resolution of Intention No. 4634 in the Office of
the City Clerk: and
WHEREAS, the Council has received and considered the action of
the Planning Conunission; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to said resolution a public hearing was duly
noticed and held on September 11, 1972: and
WHEREAS, from all the evidence submitted the City Council of the
City of Palo Alto finds that said conditions have been fulfilled sub-
stantially and that said easement is unnecessary for present or pros-
pective sidewalk purposes.
NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto does RESOLVE
as follows:
SECTION 1. That the Easement described a.~d shown in EXHIBITS A
and B attached hereto is hereby ordered vacated.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall cause a certified copy of this
resolution to be recorded in the Off ice of the County Recorder of Santa
Clara County.

DESCRIPTION OF PORTION OF EASEMENT TO BE VACATED
That real property located in the County of Santa Clara,
State of California, more particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING at the eastern-most corner of Lot 119
of Block 152, Tr&ct No. 70 Garland Tract as shown
in the map of same recorded the 7th of July, 1938 in
Book 3, Pages 18 and 19 Official Records of Santa
Clara County; thence North 51°45' West 115.00 feet;
thence North 3a~1s 1 East 5.00 feet; thence south 51°
45 1 East 115.00 feet; thence south 38°15' West 5.00
feet to t.l\e point of beqj.nning.
RESERVING THEREFROM said easement an easement in, on, over,
across and under sai~ sidewalk easement for public utilities
purposes more particularly described as the Northwesterly
5.00 feet of the original sidewalk easement~
