RESOLUTION NO. 4 6 3 4 -
RESOLUTION or THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO ORDER THE VACATION OF AN
EASEMENT AND SETTING A PUbLIC HEARING THEREON
The Council of the City of Palo Alto does RESOLVE as fol-
SECTION 1. It is the intention of the Council of the City
of Palo Alto to vacate a five foot easement situate in the City
of Palo Alto, County of Santa Clara, State of California as
described in EXHIBIT A and as set forth on a map entitled
EXHIBIT B, both attached hereto and by reference made a part
hereof.
SECTION 2. It. is further the intention of the Council of
the City of Palo Alto to reserve and except from said vacation
an easement in, on, over, across and under said sidewalk ease-
ment for public utilities purposes as described in said EXHIBIT A.
SECTION 3. Monday, the 11th day of September, 1972, at
7:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers, City Hall, Palo Alto, Cali-
fornia, is set as the time and place of hearing where and when
any person having an interest in such proceedings may appear and
be heard either for or against such vacation.
SECTION 4. All the proceedings for the vacation of said
easement shall be conducted pursuant to Title 5, Division l,
Part 1, Chapter 2, Article 5 of the Oovernment Cod• (canmencing
with 550430 thereof) of the State of Califox.ia.
SECTION 5. The City Bn9ineer is directed to poat notices
of thia intent to vac~te conspicuously along the easement to be
vacated •• deacribed 1n:·section l hereof at least 10 days before
the hearin9, po•ting them no more than 300 feet apart, but
there •hall be at least three n~ices posted. Such notices shall
state th• passage of this ,_solution of Intention, and the time
and place of the hearing.

SECTION 6. The City Clerk is directed to publish a copy
of this resolution in the !!!.2 Alto Times once each week prior
to the date of hearing.

That real property located in the County of Santa Clara,
State of California, more particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING at the eastern-most corner of Lot f 19
of Block 152, Tract No. 70 Garland Tract as shown
in the map of same recorded the 7th of July, 1938 in
Book 3, Pages 18 anr\ 19 Official ~ecords of Santa
Clara County; thence North 51°45' West 115.00 feet;
thence North 38°15' East 5.00 feet; thence South 51°
45' East 115.00 feet; thence south 38°15' -West 5.00
feet to the point of beginning.
