RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT WITH THE COUNTY
OF SANTA CLARA FOR TRANSFER OF TOPICS FUNDS
The council of the City of Palo Alto does RESOLVE as fol-
lows:
That the Mayor of the City of Palo Alto be, and he is hereby
authorized, empowered a;1d directed, for and on behalf of the City
of Palo Alto, to execute that certain Agreement with the county
of Santa Clara providing for the transfer of TOPICS Funds.

FOR TRANSFER OF TOPICS FUNDS

WITNESSETH ------------
WHEREAS, the City has been allocated TOPICS funds which are presently
unencmnbered and which City wishes to exchange for County gas tax dollars at
the rate of ninety-five (95) cents Courity gas tax money for each one dollar of
City TOPICS money; and
WHEREAS, the Santa Clara County Local TOPICS Advisory Committee
has sanctioned the exchange in principle at the aforementioned rate, and
WHEREAS, the procedural requirements necessary by Palo Alto to ad-
minister such TOPICS funds exceed 5 per cent of Palo Alto's allocation in
time and expense; and
WHEREAS, the County has approved this exchange in principle at the
Board of Supervisors_'.~eeti~~-~~ld _on_ ~une 13, 197Z;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT 15 AGREED, by and between the County and
City as follows:
1. City agrees to transfer its unencwnbered TOPICS apportiorunent
to County at the exchange rate of ninety-five (95) cents of County
gas tax money for each one dollar of TOPICS money in the
following amounts:

$140, 720. 65, which is 95% of the above total amount.
