RESOLUTION NO. 4605
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
COMMENDING THE OUTSTANDING PUBLIC SERVICE OF
ALPHONZO CROSS
WHEREAS, ALPHONZO CROSS has served the City of Palo Alto
as a Human Relations Commissioner from March 3, 1969, to
May 5, 1972; and
WHEREAS, ALPHONZO CROSS served as its Vice Chairman from
February 10, 1972, to May 5, 1972, guiding the Commission through
its many duties; and
WHEREAS, ALPHONZO CROSS has given unselfishly of his time
and talents during a most important period; and
WHEREAS, through the efforts and contributions of ALPHONZO
CROSS, the Human Relations Commission of Palo Alto has gained
recognition for new fields of endeavor; and
WH.EREAS, the City of Palo Alto desires to recognize the
meritorious service of ALPHONZO CROSS;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City
of Palo Alto hereby conunends the outstanding public service of
ALPHONZO CROSS and records its appreciation as well as the
appreciation of the citizens of this community for the service
and contribution rendered during his term of office.
