RESOLU~ION NO. . 4595
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
CONCERNING ACCUMULATION, EXPENDITURES, AND ASSIGN-
MENT OF TOPICS FUNDS BY THE CITY OF PALO ALTO FOR
FISCAL YEARS 1971-1972; 1972-1973
WHEREAS, the California State Department of Public Works
advises that the City of Palo Alto's apportionment of TOPICS
funds for fiscal years 1971-1972, and 1972-1973, is $32,715.00
for each1 and
WHEREAS, the regulations for usage of TOPICS funds require
the City of Palo Alto to apprise the State of the City of Palo
Alto's specific intentions regarding the action it will take
with respect to the apportioned funds; and
WHEREAS, the City of Palo Alto desires to continue its
participation in the TOPICS program;
NOW, THEREFORE, the Coun~il of the City of Palo Alto does
RESOLVE as follows:
SECTION 1. The City of Palo Alto intends to accumulate its
1971-1972 apportionment of TOPICS funds until _fiscal year 1972-..
1973, and further intends to expend the apportioned funds for
both fiscal years for study an4 improvement projects during
fiscal year 1972-1973, and further intends to assiqn funds to
another agency for use on a cooperative project if such action
is deemed necessary and advisable.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk is hereby directed to send a
copy of this resolution to Mr. Thomas R. Lammers, District
Engineer, Division of Highways, District IV, P.O. Box 3366,
