RESOLUTION NO. 4593
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
URGING THE ADOPTION OF SANTA CLARA PROPOSITION "C"
ON THE JUNE 6, 1972 PRIMARY BALLOT
WHEREAS, Proposition ~c" on the June 6, 1972 Santa Clara
County primary ballot proposes an amendment to the charter of
the County of Santa Clara under which an expenditure equivalent
to ten cents per $100 of assessed valuation on the county tax
base wouln be spent for implementation of the County's Regional
Park Plan: an1
WHEJmAS, there exists in.the County of Santa Clara a great
need for parks, open space land, recreation land and facilities
to serve the increasing needs of the population: and
WHEREAS, Proposition "C" is a means of implementing the
regional park plan and meetir-g a portion of those needs.
NOW, THEIIBFORE, the City Council of the City of Palo Alto
does RESOLvE as follows:
SECTION 1. This Counci-1 hereby urges the adoption of
Proposition "C" on the June 6, 1972 primary ballot.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk is hereby directed to make
distribution of this resolution to the Board of supervisors of
the County of Santa Clara and each City in the County.
