RESOLUTION NO. 4585
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY or PALO ALTO
AMENDING THE GENERAL PLAN BY THE ADDITION OF AN OPEN
SPACE ELEMENT AS CERTIFIED TO THE CITY COUNCIL BY
RESOLUTION NO. 140 OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION ADOPTED
ON APRIL S, 1972
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Palo Alto
has duly prepared and recommended-for adoption an addition to
the General Plan of the City of Palo Alto, and the Planning
Con=ission, after holding a public hearing on such proposed
addition on April s, 1972, pursuant to the provisions of the
Palo Alto Municipal Code, Section 19.04.080, had certified such
addition to the City Council recommending incorporation of an
open space element into the General Plan1 and
WHEREAS, the City Council has also held a public hearing
on the adoption of such amendment, p~rsuant to Section 19.04.080
of the Palo Alto Municipal Code, on April 17, 1972 , notice

of time and place of which was published and given ih the
manner provided by law, and
WHEREAS, the CitY Council desires to adopt said addition,
certified and reported on by the Planning CODBllission.
NOW, THEREFORE, the Cowicil of the City of Palo Alto does
RESOLVE as follows:
SECTION l. The General Plan of the City o~ Palo Alto
adopted by the City Couhdil by Resolution No. 361' ~d amended
by Resolutions Nos. 3709, 3713, 3839, 3855, 4017, 4302, and
4457 is hereby further amended to read as indicated in the
following descriptive aaterial, true copies of which are
attached hereto, entitled, •0pen Space Element of the Palo Alto
General Plan• dated March 28, 1972.

SECTION 2. Said General Plan of the City of Palo Alto shall
be endorsed to show that the descriptive material has been so
added by the City Cotmcil ,of the City 0f Palo Alto.
