RESOLUTION OF 'l'HE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
Dl:CLAPING APRIL 29, 1972 AS WALK FOR MANKIND DAY
h'iil.:HL!IS, the "Walk for Mankind" is an arm of Project
C.;)nccrn, which helps many disadvantaged youth from Mexico
and Central America obtain plu2tic :;;urgery and cleft palate
operations '-It Stanford Hospital and in their home countries:

wm:rrnAs, ~-°n Aµri J. ~9, 1972 there will be a "Walk for
Mankind" in the City of Palo Alto; and
WllCREAS, twenty oercent of all money received as a re-
sult of sai<l "Walk for Mankind" will go to a Palo Alto area
project up to und including the sum of $15,000, after which
fifty percent of all money collected will be expended on a
local project; and
WliERE1\S, said "h'alk for Mankind" will be upon streets
in the City of Palo Alto.
NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto
does RESOLVE as follows:
SECTION 1. April 29, 1972, is hereby designated as
"Walk for Mankind" Day.
SECTION 2. All citizens of the City of Palo Alto and
surrounding communities are urged to support the "Walk for
Mankind" in any way possible.
