RESOLUTION NO. 4538
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
AMENDING RESOLUTION 2971 TO CHANGE THE HOURS OF
PARKING RESTRICTIONS AND TO CHANGE TWO HOUR LIMITATION
IN CERTAIN PARKING LOTS TO ONE PARKING PRIVILEGE FOR
EACH FIVE CONSECUTIVE HOURS
The Council of the City of ~alo Alto does RESOLVE as follows:
SECTION 1. Stoppinq, standinq or parking is hereby limited in
each city-owned or leased parking lot or structure located in the
area bounded. by El Camino Real, Everett Street, Middlefield Road
and Homer Avenue to once in any consecutive five hour period
between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Monday th.ro~gh Friday,
except on holidays or other special days, for a period of time up
to two hours. This section shall not apply to parkinq lots or
structures, or portions thereof, designated as permit parking areas
pursuant to Chapter 10.60 of the Palo·Alto Municipal Code.
-sECTION 2. That portion of Resolution 3551 adopted August 13,
1962, setting forth tjle hours of parking on certain parking lots
is hereby amended to read "8:00 a.m. and 6;00 p.m. Monday th.rough
Friday, except on holidays or other special days.• exempting those
lots desiqnated as permit parking areas.
' SECTION 3. Subsections 6-an6· 7 of Resolution 2971 are hereby
amended and it is hereby directed that. ~-;e Parking Zones Map of the
~ity of Palo Alto be revised accordingly.
SECTION 4. The_City Manager is authorized and directed to
erect appropriate signs •.
