RESOLUTION NO. 4841 -----
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 2592 TO CHANGE THE P-C
DEVELOPMENT PLAN APPLYING TO 690 SAN ANTONIO AVENUE
TO ALLOW SIGN MODIFICATIONS
WHEREAS, on January 5, 1971, the Council passed Ordinance
No. 2592 changing the zoning of certain.property known as 690
San Antonio Avenue from P-C and L-M:S-D to P-C and approving the
Development Plan and Development Schedule therefor; and
WHEREAS, the applicant h<:s requested a c·hange to allow sign
modifications for the development; and
WHEREAS, this change of P-C Development Plan is found to be
within the public interest, safety, convenience, and general
welfare; further, that signs are exempt from the requirement for
environmental impact assessment.
NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto does
RESOLVE as follows:
SECTION l. Section 2 of Ordinance No. 2592 is hereby amended
to change the "Development Plan" as it pertains to signs, in

accordance with the diagram attached hereto and incorporated
herein by reference.
SECTION 2. All other provisions of Ordinance No. 2592 shall
remain in full force and effect as originally adopted.

RESOLUTION NO. 4842
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
DETERMINING THE GENERAL PREVAILING RATES OF PER
DIEM WAGES IN CONTRACTS FOR PUBLIC WORKS FOR THE
CITY OF PALO ALTO ANO PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION
OF SUCH RATES AND RESCINDING
(ADO~TED NOVEMBER 20, 1972)
WHEREAS, under the provisions of ._iectian 177 3 of the Labor
Code a public body awarding a contract or undertaking public works
must determine the general prevailing rate of per diem wages in
accordance with standards set forth in said Code for each craft,
classification or type of workman needed ·to execute the contract;
and
WHEREAS, the City-Council has ascertained and considered
applicable wage rates-established by collective bargaining agree-
ments within-the locality and in the nearest labor market area,
particularly the Santa Clara-San Benito Counties Building and
Construction Trades Council wage scales;
NOW, THEREFORE, the Cowicil of the City of Palo Alto does
RESOLVE as foliows:
SECTION 1. The Council hereby determines the general. pre-
vailing rate of per diem wages as of-November 19, 1973, in-the·
Palo Alto locality for all public works under contrac.t to be
that set forth in EXHIBIT A attached hereto and made a part
hereof by-reference~
2_ECTION 2. The City Clerk is hereby directed to send-a
certified copy of this resolution to the Clerk of the aoardof
Supervisors of the County of Santa CJ..ara and said county is· -
authorized to publish said wage rates as required by law.
SECTION 3. The city Clerk is hereby directed to send a-
certified copy of this resolution to the Director of Industrial
