A R:3SOLUTION OVERRULING PROTESTS ON
RESOLUTior· OF INTENTIGN NO. 4812
DOWNTOWN BEAUTIFICATION AND LIGHTING

RESOLVED, by t-he Counc 11 of the City of Palo Al to, California~
WHEREAS, this Council did,_ on August 20, J.973, adopt. its Reso-
lution of Intention No. 4812 to construct public improvements_ in and
for said City;
WHEREAS, on September 11, 1973, this Council adopted a resolu~
tion appointing time and place of hearing protests in relation to
the proposed improvements and directing notice;
WHEREAS, notice was given of the time and place therein stated
in the manner provided by law, as appear from the affidavits and
certificates on file in the office of the City Clerk;
WHEREAS, said matter came on regularly for hearing at the time
therein ~ixed; and
--WHEREAS, all writt._Pn protests and other ,-rritten communications
were publicly read at :::.aid meeting and all persons desiring to be
heard were fully heard;
NUW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED, &s follows:
1. That protests against said improvements were not signed by
the owners of a majority or more of ~he area of the lands within the
assessment district, or of the ar~a of the lands within the assess-
ment district assessed for the costs &nd expenses of said improvements.
2. That said protests be, and each of them are hereby, over-
ruled.
