RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
AMENDING SCHEDULES S-l, s-1-0, s-2, AND s-2-0 AND
RESCINDING SCHEDULE S-1-A (SEWER RATES) OF THE CITY
OF PALO ALTO UTILITIES RATES AND CHARGES
The Council of the City of Palo Alto does .~:~SOLVE as follows:
SECTION 1. Pursua.nt to Section 12. 20. 010 of the Palo Alto
Municipal Code, the following schedules are hereby amended to read
as shown on the sheets designated and attached hereto:

July 2, 1973.

DOMESTIC SEWAGE COLLECTION AND DISPOSAL
APPLICABILITY:
This schedule applies to each occupied domestic dwelling unit.
TERRITORY:
Within the incorpcrated limits of the City of Palo Alto and on
land owned or leased by the City.
RATES: Per Month
Each domestic dwelling unit • • . • • • • • . • • $2.50
SPECIAL NOTES:
An occupied domestic dwelling is designat~d as any house,
cottage, flat, duplex unit, or apartnient unit having kitchen,
bath, and sleeping facilities and to which utilities services
are being rendered.
Any dwelling unit not being individually served by gas or
electric meter will be considered as continuously occupied.
For any dwelling unit being served by more than one sewer
connection, the monthly charge will be applied to each
connection. ·

bath, and sleeping facilities and to which utilities services
are being rendered.
Any dwelling unit not being individually served by gas or
electric meter will be considered as continuously occupied.
For any dwelling unit being served by more than one sewer
connection, the monthly charge will be applied to each
connection.

COMMERCIAL SEWAGE COLLECTION AND DISPOSAL
APPLICABILITY:
This schedule applies to all establish!llf!nts other than domestic
dwelling units.
TERRITORY:
Within the incorporated limits of the City of Palo Alto and on
land owned or leased by the C.ity.
RATES:
Minimum Charge per Connection per Month . $3.75
Quantity Rates:
Based on Metered Water, per 100 Cubic feet $0.15
SPECIAL NOI'ES:
u~~n application from establishments maintaining extensive
irrigated landscaping, the monthly charge will be based upon
the average water usage for the months of December, January
and February.
Sewage metering facilities may be required, in which case
service will be governed by terms of a special agreement.

SPECIAL NOTES:
Upon application from-~stablishments niaintaining extensive
irrigated landscaping, the montnly charge will be based upon
the average water usage for the months of Decembar, January,
