RESOLUTION OF Th.E COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
COMMENDING GRACE McAL:LESTER AS A-MEMBER OF THE ~ALO
ALTO COMMUNITY DRUG ABUSE BOARD FOR HER CONSCIENTIOUS
AND OUTSTANDING PUBLIC SERVICE
WHEREAS, GRACE McALLESTER has diligently and unselfishly
cor ";ributed of her time and talents whil~ ser\'·inq as a member of
the Palo Alto Citizens ~ask Fore~ on Drug Abuse and the Palo Alto
Community Drug Abuse Board from October 12, 1971 to Auqust 28,
19 7:l; and
WHEREAS~ GRACE McALLESTER ~as worked untiringly towards the
E=nd of alleviating the damage caused by the drug abuse problem in
our community; and
WHEREAS, GRACE McALLESTER has made a si~ificant personal
contri~ution to the conununity by assisting in the formulation of
strong-based and farsighted policy; and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Palo Alto wishes to ex-
p:t'e~s its. ;!t.pJ?reciation to GRACE McALLESTER for her outstanding
efforts in the public interest;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Cou,ncil of the City
of Palo Alto hereby expresses its appreciation and commends
GRACE McALLESTER for her public service as a member of the Palo
Alto community Drug Abuse Board.
