RESOLUTION OF THE CO IL OF THE CITY OF PAIR ALTO
ACCEPTING THE IMPOSITION OF ADDITIONAL HIGHWAY
USERS TAKES AND FEES PURSUANT TO CHAPTER, 1852,
STATUTES OF 1963

The Council of the City of Palo Alto does RESOLVE as foll ows:
Section 1. To comply with the provisi ons of Secti on 10.2 of
the Collier•Unruh Local Tr ansp ortation Development Act (Streets
and highways Code Sectio n 186.1)., the City of P alo Alt o hereby
a dopts a Resolution approving the impositi on of addition al high-
way users taxes and fees pursuant to s aid Act.
Section 2. The City desires apportionments to be made to it
in accordance with prov isions of said Secti on of the Act and is
aware of the necessity of conformin g to th e matchi ng requirements
prescribed by Sec tion 14 of said Act (Streets and Highw ays Code
Section 186.5).
Section 3. All monies received by the City from the Stat e
under the prov ision s of Section 10.2 of said Act shall be paid
into the Special Gas Tax Street Improvement Fu nd and expended
exclusiv ely for acquisition of rights -o f -way for and constructi on
of rou te s on the select system of city str eets established as
provided in Sectio n 12 of said Act (Streets a nd Highways Co de
Section 186.3).
Section 4. In complian ce with said Act the City Cler k is
directe d to send a properly cer tified copy of this Re so lution to
the Department of Pu blic Wo rks at Sacramento, Ca lifo rnia.
