RESOLUTION NO . 3651
A RESOLUTION PRELIMINARILY APPROVING ENGINEER'S REPORT,
AND FIXING TIME AND PLACE OF HEARING THEREON, UNDER
DIVISION 4 OF THE STREETS AND HIGHWAYS CODE
UNIVERSITY AVENUE DISTRICT
OFF-STREET PARKING PROJECT NO . 52-14
RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Palo Alto, Califo rni a, that
WHEREAS, this Co uncil ordered the City E ngine er, under Division 4
of the Str eets and Highways Code, to prep are a repo rt fo r the acquisi-
tions and improvements financed pu rs uant to Resolution of Intention
No. 2425 adopted by this Council on April 13, 1953, which acquisitio ns
an d impr ov emen ts are described in the proceedi ngs c onducted pu rsu ant to
said Resolu tion or:In tention ;
WHEREAS,' said report has been completed and p res ented to this
Council, and this Council has examined said report .
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED, as follows:
1. That said report is hereby pr eliminarily app roved and o rdered
filed with the City Clerk, who shall en dorse thereon the fact and date
of this a pproval.
2. That Mon day, the 27th da y of May, 1963, at the hour of 7:30
o'clock P.M., in the Council Chambers, City Hall, Palo Alto, Califo rni a,
are hereby fixed as the time and place for hearing upon iaid report.
3. That the City Clerk is her eby directed to give, n otice of the
hea ring on said report in the form provided by law, by mailing copies
of s aid notice at least thirty days prior to the date or:hea ring, po st-

a ge pr epaid, to each per son to whore lan d in the area proposed to be
an nexed to said a ssessment district is assessed on the last equalized
assessmen t roll of said City at his address as shown upon such roll,
and to each per son whether own er in fee or having a lien upon or legal
or equity inter est in an y lan d within the proposed distr ict, whose n ame
a nd address and a designation of the lands in w hich he is inter ested
is on file in the office of the City Cler k.

4. That the Council hereby dete rmines th at it desi res to use
the taxation assessment rolls of the City of Palo Alto as a basis fo r
computi ng th e true val ue of the la nds in the dist rict. It is, the re-
fore, hereby d etermi ned that the tot al assessed val uatio n for City
pur poses of all taxable lands in the City as the same is show n upon
the taxation assessment roll for the fisc al year 1962-63 is
450,395,500, and that the cor responding total assessed val uation of
the lands in the City for County purposes as the sam e is shown upo n
the taxation assessment roll f or the fiscal year 1962-63, is
'$46,456,120. The corr ection factor resulting from dividing the tote'
v alu ation for City purposes by the total valuation for County purposes,
expressed in decim als to two places, is 1 .08.
