WHEREAS, this C ouncil ordered the City Engineer, unde r Division 4
of the Streets and Highways Code to prepa re a report for the acquisi-
tions an d improvements financed pursuant to Resol ution of Intention
No. 2411 adopted by this Council on #ma rch 2, 1953, which acquisitions
and improvements are described in the proceedings conducted purs uant to
said Resolution. of Intention;
WHEREAS,' said report has been completed and p resented to: this
Cou ncil, and this Counc il has exam ined said report.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED, as follows:
1. That said repor t is her eby preliminarily approved and
filed with the City Clerk, who shall endorse thereon the fact and date
of this appr oval.
2. That Monday, the 27th day of May, 1963, at the hour of 7:30
o 'olook P.M., in the Council Chambers, City Hall, Pa lo Alto, California,
are hereby fixed as the time an d place for hearing u pon sa id report.
3. That the City Clerk is her eby directed to give notice of
hearing on sa id repor t in the form pr ovided by law, by m ailing 001400
of said notice at least thir ty days pr ior to the date of hear ing, pow-
a ge prepaid, to each person to whom lan d in the ar ea pr oposed to be
a nnexed to said assessment distric t is asseseed on the last equalise d'
a ssessment r oll of said City at his address as shown u pon such roll,
an d to ea ch person whether owner in fee or hav in g a lien upon or 3.e gai
or equity in terest in any land within the proposed district, whose Mow
and addr ess a nd a designa tion of the la nds in which he is interested
is on file in the office of the City Clerk.

4. That the Council hereby determines that it desires to use
th e taxation assessme nt rolls of the City of P alo Alto as a basis for
computing the true value of the lands in the district. It is, there-
fore, hereby determi ned that the total asseesed v aluation for City
purposes of all t axable la nds in the:City as the same le sho wn upo n
the taxation assessment roll for the fiscal yea r 1962-63 is
450,395,500, and th at the corresponding total assessed valuatio n of
the lands in the City for County pu rposes as the s ame is shown upon
the taxation assessment roll for the fiscal year 1962-63, is
$46,456,120. The oorrect.on factor res ulting from dividi ng the toga'
valu ation for City purposes by the total valuation for County purpos es,
expressed in decim als to two places, is 1.08.
