RESOD, by the C ouncil of the City of Palo Alt o, Californi a, th at
WHEREAS, purs uant to Resol ution No . 3620 of P reliminary Determina-
tion and of Intention adopted on April 8, 1963 by this Cou ncil,
pursuant to the Palo Alto Improvement Procedure Code, as amended, the
City Engineer of trie City has filed with th e City Cl erk the w ritte n
report called for under said Code and by said Resolutio n of P reliminary
Determination and of intention, which repo rt has been p resented by said
Clerk to thin Cou ncil for consideration, a nd this Council has consider ed -
and preliminarily approved and oonfirmed said report and ordered that
the same stan d as the report for the purpose of all subsequent proceed-
• i*s had pursuant to said Resolution of Preliminary Determination and
of intention.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED, that Monday, the 27th day of May,
1963, at the hour of 7:30 o'olock P.M., in the regular meeting pla ce of
said Council, Coun cil Cha mber s, City Hall, Palo Alto, Califo rnia, be,
and the same are hereby appointed a nd fixed as the time and place when
and where the Council will consider an d finally determine whether the
public interest, co nvenience and necessity require said aoquisitions
and improvements and when a nd where it will con sider an d fin ally act
u pon the Engin eer's repor t ..under said Resolution of Preli
m inary Deter-
min ation and of Intention .
IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that the City Clerk of this City be, a nd she
is hereby, dir ected to giv e notice of said hearing by publica tion twice
in the Palo Alto Times, a new spaper published and circu lated in said
City, and by con apiououaly po stin g a n otice thereof along a ll the open
streets within the assessment district at no t more than thr ee hundre d
feet a part and not less than three in all; said posting and first pub-
lication to be .had a comple ted at ,least ten days before the date herein
set for hearing protests.

IT I8 FURTHER ORDERED that the Clerk of said City shall mail or
atuse to be mailed n otice of ttaw Adoption of said Resolution of Prelia-
inasy Determ in ation and of Intimation and the filing of said report,
postage pr epaid, at least ten days befor e the date set fo r hearing of
sa id protests, to all persons ow ning re al property to be assessed whose
mates a nd a ddresses appear on the last equalised assessm ent roll. for
City taxes prior thereto or as bown to the 0lerk, which notice shall
con tain a statement of the tim e, place an d purpose of the hea ring on
said Resolu tion an d report, and w' statemen t of the total estiaaptteq cost
of the proposed acquisitions and im prove ments, together with s slate -
m eat that any person interested m ay file a protest in writing ai pro-
vided in said Code.
