PROJECT W. 63-3
RESOLVED, by the Cou ncil of the City of Palo Alto, California, that
WHEREAS, on the .8th day of April, 1963, said Council did adopt
its Resolution No . 3620 of Preliminary Determination and of I nt ention
to ao,quir e and construct imp roveme nts in aaid City, and did refer the
proposed aoquisitione and improvements to the City E nginee r, he bei ng
the officer havin g charge a nd control of the acquisitions and construc-
tion of public improveme nts in and for said City of the ki nd described
therein and being a competent person employed by said City for that pur-
pose, an d did therein dir ect said City Engineer to maks and file with .
the City Clerk of this City a report in w riti ng, all as the rei n more
particularly described, un der and pur suant to the Palo Alto improvement
Procedur e Code, as amended;
WHEREAS, said City Engin eer has made and filed with the City Cle rk
of this City a report in w riting as called for in said Resolution of
Preliminary Determ ination an d of Intention an d un der and pursu ant to
said Code, which r eport has been presen ted to this Council for con-
sider ation; an d
WHEREAS, said Council has duly considere d said r epor t an d each and
ever y part ther eof, and finds that ea ch and ever y part of sa id r eport
la sufficien t, and that said report, nor any part thereof requires or
should be modified in an y respect.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT I3 ORDERED, as follows t
1. That the plans an d spe cification s for the pr oposed improve-
me nts to be m ade, contained in said repor t, be, and they ar e hereby,
prelimin arily approved an d con firm ed.
2. That the maps and descriptions of the lands, easemen ts and
rights to be acquired, as con tainel in said repor t, be, a nd the same
ar e hereby, preliminarily appro ved.

3. That the Engineer+s estimate of the itemised and total costs
and expenses in connection therewith, co ntained in said report, be,
a nd e ach of them a re hereby, pr eliminarily approved and c onfirmed .
4. That the diagram showing the portion of the assessme nt die-
* trict referred to a nd describ ed in Parag raph 1? (d) of said Resol ution
of Preliminary Determination and of intention, and also the bounda ri e'.
an d dimen sions of the respective subdi visions of land withi n said por-
tion of sa id assessment district as the same existed at the time of
the passage of said Resolution of Prelimin ary Determinatio n and of
Intention, each of which subdivisions have been gi ven a separate number
u pon said dia gr am, as containedin said r eport, be, and it is hereby,
preliminarily approved and confirmed.
5. That the proposed assessment upon the se ve ral subdivisio ns
of land in sa id por tion of said assessment dist rict in proporti on to
the estimated benefits to be r eceived by such subdivisio ns, respectively,
from sa id acquisitions and improvemen ts, and of the i ncide ntal expenses
thereof, as contain ed in said report, be, and they are hereby, pre-
liminarily a pproved and con firmed.
6. That said r eport shall stand as the Engineer's r eport for
the purpose of all subsequent proceedin gs had pursu ant to said Resolu-
tion of Preliminar y Determination a nd of Inten tion.
