AND FIXING TIME AND PLACE OF HEARING THEREON, UNDER
DIVISXON 4 OF THE STREETS AND HIGHWAYS CODE

RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Palo Alto, C alifo rnia, that
WHEREAS, this Council o rdered the Ca.ty E ngineer, under Division 4
of the Streets and Highways Cod e, to prepare a report for the aoq uiel-
tion e and impr ov emento more pa rtic ul arly described in Resolutio n No,
3620 of Prelimin ary Determination and of I ntention adopted by this
Council on April 8, 1963;
WHEREAS, said report has been completed a nd presented to this
Council, an d this Council ha s examined said report .
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED, as follows:
1. That said repor t is hereby preliminarily appro ved and ordered
filed with the City Clerk, who shall endorse thereon the fact and date
of this approva l.
2. That Monday, the 27th day of May, 1963,_at the hour of 7:30
o'clock P.M. in the Council Chamber s, City Hall, Palo Alto, California;
are he reby fixed as the time an d ple;.ce for hear ing upon said report.
3. The City Clerk is hereby directed to give notice of the hear-
in g on said report in the form provided by law, by mailing copies of
said no tice at least thirty days prior to the date of the hearing,
postage prepaid, to ea ch person to whom land in the proposed assessmen t
district is assessed on the la st equalized assessment r oll of said City,
at his address as shown upon such roll, an d to each per son whether owner
in fee or hav ing a lien upon or lega l or equity interest in an y land
within the pro posed district, whose name an d address and a designation
of the lands in which he is in terested is on filo in the office of the
City Clerk.

4. That the Co uncil he reby determines that it desires to use
th e t axation assessme nt rolls of the City of Palo Alto as a basis for
.computing the tru e value of the l ands in the dist rict. It ia, there-
fore, hereby determined that the total assessed valu ati on fo r City
pur poses of all taxa ble lands in the City as the came is shown upon
the tax ation assessment roll fo r the fiscal year 1962-63 is
p50,395,500, and that the corres pondi ng total aesesaed val uation of
the lan ds in the City for County p urposes as the same it' shown upo n
the taxation assessment roll, for the fiscal year 1962-63, is
$46,456,120. The oorr ection factor res ulting f rom dividing the tots'
va luation for City purposes by the total val uatio n for Cou nty pu rposes,
expr essed in decimals to two placea, is 1.08.
I hereby certify that the foregoing is a full, t rue a nd correct
copy of a resolution duly passed a nd adopted by the City Council of
the City of Palo Alto, California,;, at a mee ting thereof held on the
