A RESOLUTION PRELIMINARILY APPROVING ENGINE ER'S REPORT,
AND FIXING TIME AND PLACE OF HEARING THEREON, UNDER
DIVISION 4 OF THE STREETS AND HIGHWAYS CODE

RESOLVED, by the Co uncil of the City of Palo Alto, C alifornia, that
WHEREAS, this Cou ncil o rdered the City Engineer, under Di visio n 4
of the Stre ets and Highways Code, to p rep are a repo rt fo r the acq uisi-
tio ns a nd improvements more particula rly desc ribed in Resolutio n NO .
3613 of Preliminar y Determination and of Intenti on adopted by this
Council on Febeu ary 11, 1963;
WHEREAS, said report has been completed and p rese nted to this
Coun cil, and this Coun cil ha s examin ed said repo rt.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED, as follows:
1. Tha t said repor t is hereby preliminarily approved and o rdered
filed with the City Clerk, who shall endor se thereon the fact and date
of this approval.
2. That Monday, the 27th day of Ma y, 1963, at the hour of 7:30
o'clo ck P.M. in the Coun cil Cha mbers, City Hall, Palo Alto, Calif or nia;
ar e hereby fixed as the time an d place for hear ing upon said report.
3. The City Clerk is her eby dir ected to give notice of the hear-
ing on said report in the form provided by law, by mailin g copies of
sa id notice at least thir ty days prior to the da te of the hearin g,
postage prepa id, to each per so n to whom lan d in the pro po sed assessmen t
district is aase ased on the last equa lized a ssessment roll of sa id City,
at his addr ess as shown upon su ch r oll, an d to each person whether owner
in fee or havin g a lien u pon or legal or equity interest in an y lan d
within the proposed district, who se na me an d address and a designa tion
of the lands in which he is in ter ested is on file in the office of the
City Cler k.

4. That the Co uncil hereby determi nes that it desir es to us e
the t axation assessment rolls of the City of P alo Alto as a basis for
computing the t rue val ue of the lands in the district. It is, there-
fore, hereby dete rmined that the total assessed val uation for City
purposes of all ta xabl e lands in the City as the sa me is shown upo n
the taxation assessment roll for the fiscal year 1962-63 is
50,395,500,;and that the corresponding total assessed valuation of
the lan ds i, the City for Co unty purposes as the s ame is shown upon
the taxa tion assessment roll for the fiscal ye ar 1962-63, is
$46,456,120. The correction facto r res ulting from dividing the tote'
v alu ation fo r City purposes b;' the total valuation for County. p urposes,
expr essed in decim als to two places, le 1.08.
