A RESOLUTION OF PRELIMINARY APPROVAL OF ENGINEER'S REPORT
SANITARY TRUNK SEWERS AND WATER SUPPLY SYSTEM
PORTIONS OF FOOTHILLS ANNEXATION NO. 3
PROJECT NO . 62-8
RESOLVED, by the Co uncil of the City of Palo Alto, C alifor nia,
that
28th
WHEREAS, on th e 1SMC d ay of M ay, 1963, said Cou ncil did adopt
its Resolution of I ntention No . 3633 to acquire and co nstr uct
improvements in said City a nd did r ef er the proposed acquisitions
and improv emen ts to the City 2ngineer, he b eing the officer h aving
charge an d control of the acquisition and constructio n of p ublic
Impr ov ements in and for said City of the kind described therein
and being a competent person employed by said City for that pur-
pti e,, and did ther ein direct said City Engineer to make and file
with the City Clerk of this City a report in w riting, all as
therein mor e particularly descr ibed, u nder and purs uant to the
Palo Alto Impr ov ement Pr ocedu re Co de;
WHEREAS, said City Engin eer has made and filed with the City
Clerk of this City a report in writing as called for in said
Resolution of In ten tion and u nde r an d pur suan t to said Code, which
report has been pr esented to this Coun cil for con sideration; and
WHEREAS, said Cou ncil ha s du ly considered said repo rt and
each and ev ery pa rt thereof, an d finds that ea ch and every part of
said r eport is sufficien t, an d that said re port, nor any par t
thereof r equires or shou ld be mo dified in any respect.
NOW$ THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED, as follo ws:
1. That the plans an d spec ifica tions for the pr oposed
impr ov emen ts to be ma de, contain ed in said report, be, an d they
are hereby, prelimin arily a pproved and con fir med.
2. That the Engineer 's estima te of the itemized an d tota l
costs and expenses of said acquisitions an d improvem ents and of
the incidental expenses in con nection therewith, contain ed in said

report, be, and each of them a re hereby, prelimi narily approved
and co nfirmed .

3. That the diag ram showing th e aesessm ent diat riot referred
to a nd deacribed'in said Resolution of Inte ntion, and also the
boundaries and dimensio ns of the reaplctive subdi visio ns of land
within s aid assessme nt district as the sa me existed at the tim e of
the passage of said R esolution of I ntention, each of which s ubdivi-
sio ns.have bee n given a separate n umber upon said diag ram, as con-
tain ed in said repo rt, be, and it is hereby, prelimina rily app roved
a nd confirmed.
4. That the proposed assessment upon the sever al, s ubdivisio ns
of land in sa id assessment dist rict in p roportion to the estimated
bene fits to be r e3eived by such s ubdivisio ns, respectively, from
.pa id acquisitio ns and impr ov ements, a nd of the incidental expenses
thereof, as contained in said report, be, and they a re hereby,
prelimin arily appr ov ed an d co nfirmed.
5. That the maps,an d descr iptions of the la nds, easements
and rights to be a cqu ir ed, as contain ed in said repo rt , be, and the
same ar e her eby, preliminar ily approv ed.
6. That said report shall stan d as the En gineer's report
for the pur pose of all subsequ ent proceedings had pursuant to said
Resolution of Intention.
